The interdisciplinary festival named RHIZOM has developed out of a collective dedicated to cultivating alternative electronic music and arts. It commits itself to uniqueness, character, innovation, passion and DIY-spirit.
At the RHIZOM festival the social responsibility of culture and its consumers will be discussed and envisioned through readings, film, dance, music, video and installation art. Untypical, organizational initiatives will be tested. Gathering moments will allow connection for further creation. The RHIZOM will sprout.

In a café-like ambiance, reference persons from five different social areas will lead small-group discussions focusing on their perspective of critical thinking as well as exploring ways of civil disobedience in their respective fields. 17:00 - 19:00: Talks and lectures around the topic of cultural appropriation
The cultural appropriation talks will be in lecture format with a chance for the audience to comment or ask questions once each talk is complete.
19:00 - 20:30: Documentary movie RAW CHICKS.BERLIN (Watch Trailer)
Regie / director: Beate Kunath, Germany 2017, 105 min, English/German with English and German Subtitles.
Screening of the documentary movie RAW CHICKS.BERLIN portraying eleven international Berlin-based female music producers.
20:30 - 22:00: RAW CHICKS revisited -Moderated panel discussion
With Beate Kunath (director of RAW CHICKS.BERLIN), Antonella Pintus (Anna Bolena, DJ and producer starring in RAW CHICKS.BERLIN), Anna Frei (Fred Hystère, DJ and artist co-founder of OOR Records), Anne Rubin (Anne Air, DJ and co-founder of Les Belles de Nuit).

There will be no fixed entry price. Each participant is free to decide what amount he is willing or able to pay. The collective recommends CHF 20.00/day. No physical tickets will be sold. Get a stamp at the box office.
